In the nName of God Amen I Humphry Drewry of Southampton county being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory. Thanks be to God, that it is appointed for all men once to die. I do make constitute and appoint this my last will and testament. My soul I resign to God that gave it hoping for pardon and remission of all my sins through the merits of Jesus Christ-- Item 1st: My body I resign to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently buried by my Executor hereafter mentioned-- Item 2nd: I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca Drewry five pounds current money-- Item 3rd: I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Pond my land and plantation whereon I now live to her and her heirs forever~ also one feather bed and furniture and her choice of two cows and earlings~ Item 4th: I give and to my daughter Hannah Simmons one negro girl named Cherry at the value of thirty pounds which sum is to be deducted from a division of my negroes hereafter mentioned, one feather bed and furniture, to her and her heirs forever.
